Academy Helps Student Find Calling
In 2015, Conneaut Area High School student Hunter McClintock chose to participate in the ARMC Academy program.
Hunter was considering a career in healthcare, “I knew I wanted to be healthcare from watching the old show “ER” with my grandmother,” said Hunter. “The Academy program did impact me greatly. It showed me that I wanted to be in the nursing field.”
For Hunter, his Academy experience in respiratory therapy and nursing, helped him to determine his path. He knew that he wanted to be the person caring for patients while in the hospital.
In addition to the hands-on experience, Hunter received career advice that helped him to save thousands of dollars and still reach his career goals. Hunter currently works as a nursing supervisor at Tri-Point and Ashtabula Regional Medical Center.
