Spiritual Care Volunteers

At ARMC, volunteers are an important part of our caregiving team. Volunteers support our patients, visitors and caregivers in many ways, providing the personal touches that patients and their families need.

The volunteer program is coordinated by ARMC Foundation in support of ARMC. Volunteers aid caregivers and improve patient experience. Volunteers, 16 years of age and over, serve in variety of capacities throughout the hospital. We work to match your goals and interests with opportunities available!

All volunteers must be able to commit to a minimum of two 4-hour shifts per month for at least 6 months during the year and complete the onboarding process.

The onboarding process for volunteers includes completing an application, a background check and screening through the ARMC occupational health department. Volunteers under the age of 18 must also provide a letter of recommendation from a teacher or guidance counselor and must provide an up to date vaccination record.

Volunteers are provided with a badge and uniform top. Volunteers also receive a 10% discount on meals in the ARMC cafeteria and a 15% discount on merchandise in the Huffman-Mayer Wealth Management Gift Shop.
