ARMC Academy
ARMC Academy is a summer internship designed for high school students interested in healthcare careers. Eligible students are welcomed into the hospital for a professional, practical learning experience. Students are placed in a variety of clinical settings, rotate assignments at least once during the program, have opportunities for short one-day placements, and participate in lunch-and-learn presentations that provide a well-rounded perspective of both clinical and non-clinical departments of the healthcare system.
The culmination of the experience is a commencement program during which students give a presentation on their experiences and are awarded with their scholarship.
All students who successfully complete the full-time ARMC Academy program (190 hours) earn a $500 scholarship. Students who successfully complete a part-time schedule (95 hours) will earn a $250 scholarship. Two participants who demonstrate the best performance throughout the program may also receive an additional $1,000 scholarship. Funding for the program is possible through the generosity of donors to ARMC Foundation.
