Caring for Thousands of Patients Every Year

As the only full-service hospital in the county, each year ARMC cares for more than 30,000 patients in its emergency department; performs more than 8,000 surgeries; and provides care to more than 3,500 admitted patients. ARMC caregivers complete more than 73,000 radiology scans; 86,000 rehabilitation therapy sessions; 84,000 respiratory procedures, 625,000 laboratory tests; and fill more than 1,500,000 pharmacy prescriptions. Each year, our physician practice clinics care for the community through more than 300,000 patient appointments.

Supporting Jobs and the Local Economy

The largest employer in Ashtabula County, ARMC Healthcare System is an economic anchor for our region, annually contributing over $124 million in salaries and benefits and more than $1.2 million in income tax revenue to local municipalities and school districts. Growth Partnership for Ashtabula County estimates that for every ARMC Healthcare System caregiver another 2.4 jobs are supported throughout the county.

Donations That Directly Improve Care

Recent projects supported by ARMC Foundation donors include: the 115,000 square foot patient care tower opened in June 2024; renovations to Outpatient Rehabilitation Services and the Imaging Department; as well as improvements to the entrance of the Cancer & Infusion Center. Donations have also assisted in the purchasing of diagnostic and therapeutic equipment for the following departments: Endoscopy, ENT, Emergency, ICU, Surgery, Imaging, Cancer Services, and Pediatrics.
