Izzi Family Bocce Tournament Supports Local Cancer Care

Alex and Sarah Izzi were both born and raised in Ashtabula County. Unfortunately, they were also both touched by cancer. In 2016, Alex lost his mother, LuAnn Ray Izzi, following a three-year battle with cancer. In 2018, Sarah's mother, Antoinette Bodnar, was diagnosed with cancer, she is currently in remission.

In 2021, Alex and Sarah decided to share their love of bocce through a tournament that would bring the community together to raise funds for cancer causes. 

In 2025, Alex and Sarah chose the ARMC Cancer and Infusion Center as the recipient of the $8,000 raised at the Izzi Family Bocce Tournament.
